Our premium fragrance oils are undiluted, uncut, and contain no fillers. Made in the USA.
Note: Banana Nut Bread does not grow from plants, therefore it is a synthetic fragrance. Any fragrance that is not an essential oil is synthetic or artificial. A soy candle cannot be defined as 100% natural if it contains fragrance oils and/or dyes. 100% natural candles are made with cold-pressed or steam distilled essential oils. We do not use CO2 essential oils or absolutes. Absolutes are extracted with solvents, and we believe a candle made with solvents would not be as pure as our customers would want.
A few of our fragrances may have solvents. Our supplier may have a few that have a little bit of a solvent so the fragrance oil will not crystalize. Although the main ingredient is pure soybean oil for our soy-based fragrances, they still have synthetic fragrance compounds and would not be considered a 100% natural candle. Many companies claim to have all natural soy candles made with fragrance oils and dyes. Maybe in their minds it is “all natural.” because the soy wax itself is natural. We give our customers the option to choose pure essential oils, soy-based fragrance oils, and our other premium grade fragrance oils or unscented and dye-free.
NONE of our fragrance oils contain ingredients on the California Proposition 65 list (CA PROP 65) of cancer causing ingredients. Our fragrances comply with the IFRA, “International Fragrance Associations,” safety and purity standards (ifra.org) and all applicable international, federal, state and local regulations. Our suppliers are members of IFRA and RIFM,Research Institute of Fragrance Materials.
Note: None of our fragrances have phthalates or petrochemical (paraffin) by-products. There may be a few fragrances from our supplier that may contain the phthalate DEP (Diethyl Phthalate), which is approved for fragrance use, and considered safe for human health and the environment. We do not carry those few fragrances with DEP, although DEP is NOT part of the group of hazardous phthalates that have been found in cosmetic products. There are many hazardous phthalates in cosmetic products that are classified as carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic to reproduction. The phthalates used in our suppliers’ fragrances are not on the EU Cosmetics Directives’ restricted list of hazardous phthalates. We just want to make sure that everyone understands that we want to be as truthful as possible about our synthetic (man made) fragrances. Since fragrance compounds are proprietary ingredients, we can only list the information we have received from our supplier and let you make the decision of what you want to purchase. We are not responsible for any allergy, headaches or illness that may arise from scented candles. The same thing can happen with pure essential oils. Sensitivity is individual to each person, just as pollen and pets affects Irenes’ allergies and asthma. Gardenia’s and sunflowers can make her sick, while daisies and roses are enjoyed.
