Use the shopping cart or email your request. For a Bucket Style hat, you must measure the circumference around your childs' head. Then measure from the top of the right ear over the head and down to the top of the left ear, as if you were placing a head band. These measurements will help me make a hat that fits around the childs' head and to know how long to make the hat. Everyone has different shapes and sizes and I think this is the best way to measure. To make a Beanie, you must measure the circumference and then measure in a head band fashion, from the bottom of the ear lobes over the head and down to the bottom of the other ear lobe. I will crochet according to those measurements in the styles shown. Skull caps are measured the same way, but from ear to ear they should be measured from the base of the ears. If ordering beanie style, let us know if you want it long for a rolled edge. I will add about 2 more inches.

There is plenty of stretch, but we allow that for shrinkage. To order the right size, please measure your head before you order, and let us know the measurements around the entire circumference. If this is a gift for someone else and you don't have measurements, you should order a size larger to be sure it will fit. If you buy it too small it will never be worn. These are a custom product and made upon order with your color choices. My daughter designed the one she is wearing in the picture, just by telling me where she wanted her color selection. Just select your colors and tell us what style you like. If you don’t want the lacing in the middle just let us know. There are no returns due to quality control. They are made especially for you. Alterations are free of charge if the hat doesn’t fit the right length. A redo of the width (circumference) will cost an extra fee.

Care Instructions: Hand or machine wash warm in a mesh bag, rinse cool. Dry flat or gently tumble to almost dry and finish flat. Allow approximate 10-15% shrinkage in length for tumble drying. Organic colors intensify with wash & dry, and will deepen in color.
